✨ LAST CHANCE: New Jaw Series ✨

Our somatic courses and the Embody app are loved by thousands of students in India. Because The Workout Witch is based in the United States, your payment is processed as an international transaction, and by default, most Indian debit and credit cards have international transactions switched off (a Reserve Bank of India security rule). That's why a payment can fail even when your card works perfectly everywhere else.

The fix takes about 30 seconds in your banking app. Here's how.

Turn on international transactions (any bank)

  1. Open your bank's mobile app (or net banking).
  2. Go to Cards → select your card → look for Card Controls, Manage Card, or Card Usage.
  3. Switch on International transactions and Online / e-commerce transactions.
  4. Check the international transaction limit — set it above the price of your course so the payment isn't declined for being over your limit.
  5. Return to checkout and complete your order. The change usually applies instantly.

Quick pointers for major banks

Menu names shift slightly with app updates, but the setting lives in the same place in each bank's app:

HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank app or MyCards → Cards → Manage Card / Card Usage → turn on International & Online usage.

SBI

YONO app (or net banking → e-Services → ATM/Debit Card Services) → Card Services → enable International usage. For SBI Card credit cards: SBI Card app → Card Controls.

ICICI Bank

iMobile Pay app → Cards → select card → Manage Card → turn on International transactions.

Axis Bank

Axis Mobile app → Cards → Card Controls → turn on International usage.

Kotak Mahindra Bank

Kotak app → Cards → Card Controls → turn on International transactions.

Any other bank

Search your bank app for "card controls" or "international usage," or call the number on the back of your card and ask them to enable international online transactions.

Still declined? Two common reasons: your international transaction limit is set below the purchase amount (raise it in the same screen), or your card is a basic RuPay debit card that doesn't support international payments — in that case, use PayPal below or a Visa/Mastercard from another account.

Prefer not to change card settings? Use PayPal

At checkout, choose PayPal. You can pay through a PayPal account linked to your Indian card — PayPal handles the international part, and payments often go through even when a direct card charge is declined.

Is this safe?

Yes. Checkout is handled by Shopify, the same secure payment system used by millions of stores worldwide — we never see or store your card details. The international-transactions switch simply tells your bank it's okay for you to shop with businesses outside India, and you can turn it back off after your purchase if you prefer.

Note: your bank may charge a small foreign-transaction fee on international purchases, typically 2–3.5% depending on your card. This fee goes to your bank, not to us.
